June Loves

It's a bit of a cliche to exclaim how quickly the year is going at the start of these kinds of posts, but seriously, how are we over half way through 2017?! Since about mid-May, I've been making more of an effort with my makeup, using different things rather than the same old favourites. These products have become firm staples in my daily makeup rotation.

Estée Lauder The Mattifier Primer - £25

This was actually a recommendation from my mum and I have since fallen in love with it. The primer has a lovely lightweight texture that doesn’t feel silicone-y on the skin, yet it smooths over skin and makes applying foundation over the top a dream. My makeup lasts longer and it keeps shine at bay throughout the day like no other primer I've used.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette - £8

When I like a brow product I tend to stick to it and am cautious to try anything else. However this was recommended by a friend, and I've been after something that can create a softer brow look so gave it a go. It’s such a fine pencil that it’s difficult to over do it, the fineness of it allows for careful filling in that looks a bit more natural yet defined. I also really like the convenience of having a spoolie on the other end too.

L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Black - £7.99

I tend to be quite fickle with my mascara, and so when I needed a new one but wasn’t instantly drawn to repurchase a £20 mascara, I decided to give this a whirl. At first I was a little dubious of the wand, it's a plastic wand which I prefer, but the shape of it looked like it wouldn't be the easiest to apply. But, I've come to really love it, the mascara gives my lashes a curl that lasts all day, with decent volume and separation too. It doesn’t clump my lashes, but there's still the volume I like, whilst being lengthening and separating too.

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette in Natural Beauty - £49

I was lucky to receive this as a birthday present at the end of April, and I’ve been using it almost daily ever since. It’s so handy having everything in one palette and I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the products. The bronzer is so natural and woks perfectly as a contour on my pale skin without being too harsh. I love the blush colours, again as they are quite natural and paired together are my natural flushed tone which is what I like in a blusher. I’ve been recently converted to loving more golden toned highlights, and I love this pale offering. It’s a beautiful glow and again doesn’t look at all harsh. The trio of eyeshadows are perfect for every day, I love champagne tones for a soft look. All the tones work really well on my pale skin, and the palette makes for the perfect addition to a makeup collection of anyone who loves a more natural look.

Urban Decay Original Primer Potion - £17

I mentioned this in my IMATS haul, and I really have been loving it ever since I purchased it. A small amount really keeps any eye makeup in place all day. It makes my eye shadow colours really stand out, and they last so much longer without any signs of creasing. I seriously get the hype!

What have you been loving throughout June?
