Reading Habits Book Tag | Lifestyle

I haven't technically been tagged to this, but I can still do it right...? I saw the tag on this blog and thought it would be a fun little post to write. Plus I love reading and watching tags because I'm so darn nosey!

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Either my bed or a really comfy arm chair that sort of engulfs you, but in a nice way.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

This all depends, because I like bookmarks don't get me wrong, but I'm really picky on them. So if I've got a bookmark I like then I'll use that if not I'll use bits of paper or photographs.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter or certain number of pages?

When I can I'll finish the chapter before stopping reading, but sometimes with reading when I'm travelling I just have to stop to avoid missing my train stop.

Do you eat or drink whilst you're reading?

Mostly not, because I'm worried about getting crumbs in books, but I always have water.

Do you listen to TV or music whilst reading?

No, I just can't. I like just a little background noise of people alive but not listening to music or TV - I just can't get into the book if I do.

Do you stick to one book at a time or more?

This depends on if I've got a book on my kindle that I read on trains or if I'm reading books for pleasure and books for university, but I try to keep it to just one book at a time.

Reading in your head or out loud?

In my head, without a doubt. I've never liked reading out loud.

Do you ever skip ahead or skip pages?

Not any more, but I used to always read the first chapter and then the very last page before continuing.

Do you break the spine or keep books like new?

Break the spine. Always, the first thing I do is break the spine. Some will hate me for that, but I love the look of books that look loved and read.

Do you write in books?

I used to for English Literature, and sometimes I do for uni but generally no. I like that on my kindle I can highlight things without actual physical books being ruined! If I want to make a note of something I just use post - it notes.

Do you have any of these reading habits, or any others?
