The Me Time Tag

Everyone loves a little pamper time, at towards the end of last year I loved watching the Me Time tag videos that were floating around YouTube, and thought why not use the same questions in a blog post. I think it was Essie Button who came up with the idea behind the tag and the questions, and I'm seriously in love with her videos! So here's my me time tag, ahead of some serious Sunday pampering!

What do you like to watch or read during me time?

I like to have a catch up on YouTube videos and blog posts, but also I like to read a magazine or whatever book I'm reading at the time.

What do you wear during me time?

Comfort is key for me time, so it's gotta be pyjamas. Yes leggings are really comfy, but nothing beats pyjamas. The cute pineapple ones are from Primark.

What are your favourite me time beauty products?

I love using The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay face mask, I think a face mask is a perfect way to relax, and I also really love giving my skin a little treat as well.

What is your current favourite nail polish?

This is something that changes almost every time I paint my nails! I've been loving Full Steam Ahead by Essie, it's such a pretty pastel colour and I think I'm obsessed with pastel colours for nails.

What do you eat or drink during me time?

I love both mint tea and mint water so often it's one of those, if I'm feeling an alcoholic drink I've been loving gin and tonics recently - I think I'm turning into an old lady! As for food, it really depends, sometimes I won't be eating, sometimes it'll be fruity snacks, and sometimes more unhealthy treat snacks.

What is your current favourite candle?

The fruity melon Yankee candle has been a favourite of mine for the past few weeks - it smells amazing and is the perfect summer time candle.

Do you ever have outdoor me time?

I'd say yes, but not in a 'taking my books and reading outside' kind of way because I have very sensitive eyes so it's almost impossible for me to read in bright sunshine. I do however like to go for random walks by myself. Living on a farm in the middle of the countryside there are plenty of places for me to walk around and just be able to focus on my own thoughts for a while.

Would you ever go and watch a film by yourself?

I don't really go to the cinema that often, and because I can get quite anxious about things like that I don't think I would. Plus I think it's really fun to go to the cinema with friends, and if I want to watch a film alone I'll just wait until it's on Netflix or the DVD is out - which is a positive in a sense because I love wearing pyjamas to watch movies!

What is your favourite online shop?

I'm going to go for really 'obvious' choices here with things like FeelUnique and Asos, I want to get into more homeware-ish shops but I haven't been able to really find that many I like - have you got any recommendations? Oh, and also Amazon because it's great for so many things.

Anything to add? What else do you do during me time?

I've been loving taking 10 - 15 minutes morning and night to do some meditation and simple yoga stretches. I find that it really sets me up for the day ahead, but following different routines really relaxes me before I go to bed.

What do you like to do with your me time?
