Seventeen Va Va Voom waterproof volume mascara is available at Boots here

I picked this mascara up at the airport before I went on holiday, my Bourjois mascara had completely dried up and as much as I was hoping to get an exact replacement, the Boots there didn't have a wide range of make up. I went for the Seventeen Va Va Voom waterproof formula having not really heard anything about it.







This mascara gives so much length and added thickness to my lashes. I have quite fine and pale lashes, and as much as I love long lashes I really love the volume at the root and along my lashline that this mascara gives. I do have to use two coats to get the volume really noticeable, but I'm still really impressed with that for a drugstore mascara.

As well as that, it really is waterproof! It was really hot on holiday, and waterproof mascaras that I've used in the past would have just been half way down my cheeks, but this stayed completely put for the whole day - curl and everything! And even lasted through a panic attack resulting in tears.

At first I was a little weary of the size of the wand, but now that I've got into using it more I really like it. You can see that I don't apply mascara to my bottom lashes, not just because of the wand size - never do, but I think that it would probably be a little too big for the smaller bottom lashes.

I like that the packaging is quite simple, for make up that's going to be used everyday and thrown into make up bag after make up bag I think that the more simplistic the packaging the better it lasts. Also I'm going through a thing for white and bright packaging as I have visionary problems so I like to identify things by colour.

Overall I'm really surprised at how much I like this mascara, it does everything I look for in a mascara and all for £6.29!
