Breakfast Deliciousness | Recipe

I must admit for a long time I liked the idea of breakfast more than the actual eating of breakfast. However more recently I've started to enjoy breakfast and finding new recipes that are quick and easy as well as healthy and tasty. Here I'm going to be sharing my two favourite breakfasts that I make time and time again.

Banana Berry Smoothie Bowl

This is a really simple way to eat lots of fruit in the morning, and it's so easy to do. All you need is a large banana, a couple of cups of frozen berries and a blender, I use a Kenwood stick blender. The only thing left to do is just blend the berries and banana together until fairly smooth. I like to leave my berries out of the freezer for about 10 minutes just to let them soften slightly, which I then find easier to blend. What you're left with is a beautiful yoghurt like consistency that's perfect for topping. Here I've just topped mine with some flaked almonds and some dried berries, however I also like it with fresh fruit and granola adds an extra crunch too. Of course you could use any frozen fruit you like to change the recipe to your tastes, or just for a little change - pineapple and banana work surprisingly well.

Almond Milk Overnight Oats

This is a recipe that's so easy to change however you like, and requires barely any morning preparation. I mixed half a cup of unsweetened almond milk, I tend to use Blue Diamond or Alpro the most,  with half a cup of oats and sat them in the fridge overnight. In the morning you're left with a bowl of oats that looks exactly like porridge. Then it's time to top it with whatever you like. I used blueberries, raspberries and drizzle of honey for my sweet tooth! It's so simple to change - I sometimes like to add a mashed banana and two teaspoons of cinnamon to the milk and oats before leaving it the fridge for something a little sweeter.

These recipes are so simple, delicious and will keep you full until lunchtime without being packed full of rubbishy sugars.

Hope you enjoy trying out these recipes, what are your go to breakfasts?
