Everyday Autumnal Makeup

I've never really been one to change up my makeup, I tend to always stick to the same looks and products all year round. The majority of last Autumn for me was spent lusting over beautiful berry toned lips but being too nervous to try out something so different for myself. This year I made an effort to try out new products and looks continually, and I've really enjoyed it. I've discovered so many products that I love and through trying out different looks I've really found that there are so many different makeup looks and styles that actually suit me so much more.

This neutral eyes and berry lipped look has been a 'go to' look for me, it's such a simple look that's bold enough to be something a little different from my nude summery makeup, but still easy to pull off everyday. Plus when I've worn this makeup I've had so many lovely compliments on the lip colour, which is definitely encouraging me to try new looks more often!

Priming my skin before makeup is so important for me, not only does it make my makeup last much longer, but it also creates a nice base to apply a foundation to and keeps unwanted oiliness at bay. Rimmel Fix and Perfect primer does all those things for my skin and doesn't cost the earth.

For foundation I wanted something that would provide a decent coverage, but still add some glow into the skin. I often find that foundations with coverage just make my skin look so dull and cakey. I went for Benefit Hello Flawless foundation in I'm Pure 4 Sure Ivory. It gives me the right out amount of coverage and adds a lovely glow to the skin, plus it blends in perfectly and so flawlessly but doesn't go cakey at all. I then touch up my undereye dark circles and any blemishes with the Revlon Colorstay concealer in the shade light. This concealer is so nice and creamy that it blends seamlessly with the foundation and doesn't crease or gather into fine lines. I just wish there was a lighter shade, the shade light is a perfect match for me, but I'd love this a touch lighter for more of a highlighted look under my eyes.

For the rest of my face makeup I used my all time favourite products that I simply cannot beat! Firstly to set my concealer and foundation I used a light dusting of the Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in the shade 52 vanilla. Then to add a little more colour to my face I used the Bourjois Delice de Poudre in 51, this not only adds colour to my pale complexion but also a little definition. For a fresh faced blush I used the Rimmel Lasting Finish blush in 020 pink rose, which gives a beautiful flush of rosy colour to the cheeks which is perfect all year round. Finally to highlight the tops of my cheekbones I used Benefit High Beam. The pinky, pearlescent tone of this liquid highlighter is perfect for my skin tone, adding a lovely fresh glow, as well as adding a little extra brightness which is so important for me as I wear glasses all the time.

Learning to fill in my brows was a real game change for me. They frame your face beautifully and now it's something I cannot bear not to do! I love using the Soap and Glory Brow Archery pencil in hot chocolate because the fine pencil creates wonderfully full yet natural looking brows. I then just set them in place using a little Natural Collection clear mascara as a brown gel.

I used the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Creamy Beige all over my lid and then just used an Elf eyeshadow blending brush to blend out the harsh edges. From the Maybelline The Nudes palette, I used the second shade on the second row in the outer corner and along the crease to just add a little more depth to eyes, before using the first shade from the first row as a highlight in the inner corner and long the brow bone. I then finished the eye look off with lashings of Maybelline Lash Sensational waterproof mascara.

For lips I used the Rimmel Kate Moss lasting finish lipstick in 08, which is a lovely berry toned colour perfect for everyday. I finished off with a spritz of the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix fixing spray. This really helps to mesh my makeup together and last longer without the need for powder touch ups.

What are your Autumn makeup favourites?
