Barely There Makeup Picks

Whether you're in a rush, it's a super hot day or you simply just want more of a natural look, barely there makeup is needed. I've been reaching for this look a lot recently with it being hotter and being on my summer break means that I've been spending more time relaxing and not want to spend too long doing my makeup in the mornings. A light, fresh base with natural defined brows and tinted lips is such an easy minimal makeup look that's ideal for this time of year.

To prep my skin for makeup I've been really enjoying the Benefit Porefessional Matte Rescue gel. The gel formula feels so lovely and light on the skin, whilst minimising pores and acting as a primer for my base.

To add a light coverage and even out my skintone, I use the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue tinted gel cream in 03 Buttercream. When this was first released I didn't think I'd like it or get much use of out it, but it's perfect for when I don#t have enough time to seamlessly blend in foundation or I just want a really light coverage. The gel cream formula is really hydrating on the skin and it looks so fresh and natural.

I'm lucky in that my skin is quite clear, so the only concealer I go in with is a bit of
Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer to cover up and brighten my pesky under eye circles.

I like to lightly set my base as my t-zone can get quite oily during the day, so I use the MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC15. This just keeps my skin oil free, adds a touch extra coverage but doesn't completely dull my skin down.

Sometimes I'll add some colour to my cheeks using a bit of Benefit Hoola in a sort of bronzer/contour '3' shape and then dusting a bit of Benefit Rockateur on for a rosy look.

I can't not do anything to my brows, even if I've just had them tinted, so I run some L'Oreal Brow Plumper in medium/dark through them to add some colour, keep them in place and a bit of extra thickness to my brows too.

For lashes I've been loving the Clinique High Impact mascara. I just have a sample of this, but I really love it. It's perfect for adding length and volume to my lashes whilst not making them look clumpy or heavy.

I'll often just slick on some lip balm, but if I'm after something with a bit of colour I use my Lancome Juicy Shaker in Vanilla Pop. It adds a lovely natural looking tinted gloss to my lips that wears really beautifully.

Like I said, I've been really enjoying this makeup as an everyday option in the warmer weather or for when I'm having a more relaxed day.

What are your go to barely there makeup picks?
