For me my skincare routine doesn't change up too often, I tend to use different products in the colder months when my skin is much drier compared to the warmer months, but generally my skin doesn't like too much change. My skin is combination, oily t-zone with normalish bits than can get really dry and dehydrated. My skin can also be quite sensitive to certain brands, which is another reason why I really like to just find products that I like and go back to them in the right season.
Cleansers and Scrubs
Morning and night I cleanse using the Neutrogena Visibly Clear pink grapefruit wash. This is a lovely gel wash, that really refreshes and cleans my skin. Plus is comes in a pump bottle, which it hugely satisfying and convenient.
Two or three times a week I use The Body Shop Seaweed Exfoliator. I love skincare from The Body Shop, and this scrub is just perfect. It's specifically designed for combination/oily skin, helping to eliminate oils and blemishes and it's not too harsh. I sometimes find that scrubs can be far too harsh for my skin, or they're not gritty enough to be doing anything. This is the happy medium, and works wonders.
Makeup Removal
I haven't used face wipes for the longest time, when I did I never really found that they removed my makeup that efficiently. My prefered method of makeup removal is to use an oil, or balm. I've been using the L'Oreal Facial Cleansing Oil for a couple of years now, and it's by far my favourite cleansing oil. Massaged onto dry skin, it breaks down all my makeup, eyeliner and waterproof mascara included, so easily. It really is the only method that actually gets every last bit of makeup off.
Toner, Serums and Moisturisers
I have to admit I can sometimes be a bit lazy when it comes to toners, which is why I love using a spray toner. I love the Boots Botanics Rosewater Toner, the mist is so lovely and refreshing, smells beautiful and really prepares my skin to be moisturised.
For a serum I have recently been really enjoying the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Correcting Serum. The skin perfection range has been formulated specifically for people in their 20s and 30s when skin is still relatively young, but can have uneven texture and imperfections from general life stresses. Since using this I've really noticed an improvement in the texture of my skin, and my pores have reduced too (thankfully).
For a day cream I like to something that's going to mattify my skin and yet keep it well hydrated. I've been really enjoying using the Good Things Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser. It's perfect for keeping my skin moisturised, smooth and matte at the same time.
For a night cream I use the Garnier Moisture+ Restore Night Gel Cream, which is just perfect. The gel cream formula means that it's light enough to sink into the skin really quickly, yet thick enough to deeply hydrate my skin during the night. It does have a lovely, light lavender fragrance, which personally I love as it's really calming before bed, but that's worth bearing in mind if you have really sensitive skin.
Extras
For eye cream I love the Superdrug Naturally Radiant eye cream, I've spoken about this what feels like a million times but I seriously do love it. It brightens, smooths and moisturies my eye area really nicely, and is super affordable.
My lips can get really dry, and so the Lush Mint Julips lip scrub followed up by a thick lip balm have been my saviours! The scrub smells so delicious and really scrubs my lips making them much smoother ready for lipstick.
I love using clay or mud face masks to draw out any yuck in my skin. A favourite at the moment is the NSPA Skin Glow Mud Mask. I use this once a week, leaving it on for about 15 minutes to detox my skin, leaving it smoother, softer and brighter. I also really love The Body Shop Seaweed clay mask.
I genuinely do use these products on a daily or weekly basis, it may seem like a lot but I really think it's worth taking time to take care of your skin.
