Until I move back to uni I think it's going to be a recurring theme that I haven't really been up to too much that's really exciting. I don't drive anymore due to an eyesight problem, and combined with living in the countryside means that I'm rather reliant on someone being able to take me somewhere. This works hugely in my favour when it comes to going out for meals and drinking though!!
One of my goals for the summer was to really make an effort to up my social media game. With going away previously I've found it a bit tricky to actually stick to that, but this week I've been making a real effort. I've really gotten into scheduling promo tweets, which means that my blog posts have all been read so much more which gladdens my heart, I'm updating my Facebook page more, making sure to pin relevant photos from posts to Pinterest, and getting into using Snapchat a lot more. The only thing I'm still struggling with is Instagram, I really need to get into taking photos specifically for Instagram or else I just run out of things to post. Not that the latest update really helps too much.
This week I've been trying really hard to improve my photography. It's something that I've been working on improving for quite some time, but as it's the holidays and I've had a fairly laid back week there has been plenty of time for me try out new things. Firstly I got a new background to use, I've been wanting to change things up and add some texture in for a few months but I wasn't sure where I'd be best to get something from. Gemma's post was super helpful and I just followed the link she shared, and I have to say I'm really impressed with the quality and speed of delivery.
Whilst playing about with the settings and zoom on my camera on Tuesday night, I took this pretty impressive photograph of the moon. Needless to say sorry for sharing it everywhere but I just can't get over it haha!
Looking to the week ahead, I'm hoping to get some more reading done. Not only of blogs but books and newspapers too. I love reading and so I really must get into making time for it whilst I'm not swamped down with uni work.
So here's the first post in my new series of Sunday Catch Ups, hopefully, they'll get more interesting as I have more to get done and move back to uni.
Hope you all have a fabulous week
