Kiko Matte Face Base Primer | £9.90 | I've been using this for around a month now, and I'm seriously impressed with it - I just had to give it a mention. The consistency is a thickened gel, which makes it refreshing to apply, but still feels like there's something that's actually going to stick to your makeup. It smooths over my skin, makes foundation apply like a dream and keeps things in place whilst keeping oils at bay. Perfect for the hot weather we've been having in the UK.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Mont Blanc | £34 | Part of me feels like I should save this foundation for more special occasions because it's pricey, but I love how it makes my skin look. The slightly dewy but not at all oily look is something I'm really into at the moment, it just looks fresher. Yet this has the staying power without feeling heavy at all which has been perfect for hot weather and wanting makeup I can just forget about on busy days.

Accessorize Crescent Necklace (unavailable online) | Going through a breakup earlier in the year made me realise that I really needed some everyday jewellery that came from myself. This necklace is perfect for that, simple and goes with everything. I can't find it online anymore, but in general Accessorize has a lot of simple necklaces I really love.

planting gardens in graves by r.h. Sin | Over the past month or so I've really found myself getting back into poetry again. I found r.h. Sin's poetry on instagram and have since brought several books on my kindle. A lot of it is on the sad side and just gets me thinking, I can't even explain why I like it so much. I devoured this book in a couple of hours and have many of the pages bookmarked to look back on.
