November Loves

I'm sure these kinds of posts always start with a cliche, at least mine do, but seriously how bloomin' fast has November gone?! I'm certain time seems to go so much faster the more I have to get done. I can't quite believe that I'm coming to the end of my first semester of third year. Over the past month and a bit I've got quite the selection of things I've been loving, with a mix of minimal makeup, cosy scents and even a TV show.

Whereas I often quite like reaching for a fuller coverage foundation during the colder months, I've recently been going for much more minimal makeup. In the mornings I need to do my makeup and look presentable, whilst being quick and not too much fuss. I've been loving the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation. Now I am definitely late to the party on the whole cushion foundation bandwagon, but I'm so enjoying it. The dewiness of the base is perfect for a fresh faced minimal makeup that's speedy to apply,  and I find the cushion provides a lovely light veil of coverage that can be built up slightly if needed without looking at all cakey. I'm hooked.

Sticking with the minimal makeup theme, my love for the Lancome Juicy Shakers is no secret. I love the innovative applicator, the packaging, and the ease of them. In October, my boyfriend very kindly got me on their newer shades Piece of Cake which I have been completely obsessed with. It's the most beautiful nudey/pink shade that's simply perfect for every day. My lips are kept hydrated, whilst adding a touch of natural colour and the minimal look of a glossy lip.

In terms of skincare during the colder months, I often find it a struggle to know what to switch about. My skin gets drier but then also I'm oily and it seems like the super thick creams are just too much for me, but I've rekindled my love for a duo recommended to my by a friend and haven't looked back. The Body Shop Overnight Vitamin E Oil is an absolute dream, it feels like such a luxurious facial oil to use at night. My skin looks glowing the following morning, and I've been rather surprised that the oil hasn't affected how oily my skin gets which is a bonus as it really locks in moisture. Over the top of the oil I love using the Superdrug Vitamin E Leave On Moisture Mask, it's a wonderful budget friendly mask that I leave on overnight, to seriously hydrate my skin overnight so my skin looks fresh and supple and like I've had a refreshing night's sleep.

To keep my body just as soft and smelling sweet, I've fallen for The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Gel-Lotion. The consistency is so light that it sinks into the skin quickly which is ideal for me in the mornings, yet it's thick enough that it really softens my skin for the whole day. Not to mention the scent, I love all the festive scents from The Body Shop, but there's something about this sweet vanillary scent I can't get enough of.

I've seen so many people raving about this, but I have been obsessed with The Crown on Netflix this November. I love me a good period drama and I'm such a big royalist at heart that it's only natural for me to love it. Each episode is like a piece of art, I'm just completely loving watching it and I already need a second season. I highly recommend watching if you haven't already, even if you're not a period drama fanatic it's amazing. Also Claire Foy is amazing in it, such an incredible actress.
