September Loves

I know it's a cliche, but seriously where has September gone?! We seem to be just flying through the year, and I'm not really sure how I feel about that. When I look back on it though, September has been a pretty busy month. The first half of the month I was at home, enjoying spending time with my family and packing all my bits and bobs up. For the second half, I've been back at uni for my final year, moved into a new flat, and spending lots of time with my friends making memories. When it came to me thinking about my loves from September I could only think of a handful of actual things. It's been a month of sticking to things I know and just enjoying being back with my closest friends rather than branching out with new products too much.

If you read my Sunday catch up posts then you may know that right at the beginning of September I went to Buckingham Palace with my mum and brothers girlfriend. Considering I've already spoken about it I don't want to go on about it too much, but it was such an amazing trip. I loved it so much, and it was so lovely to have a girls day out.

Another outing/thing I really enjoyed this month was going to the Canterbury Food and Drink Festival. Despite this being my third year living in Canterbury I'd never actually been, but it was such a lovely day. I went with a group of friends, ate food, drank gin samples and just generally had a brilliant time. Also I'm still in love with this dairy free oreo shake, so so worth it!

In terms of actual beauty products, there hasn't really been too much but what I have been loving I've been using pretty much daily. Most of my select few I have blogged about before, but I kinda like that. It's nice when people say they love something and you can see they actually do use it time and time again.

First up is the Irresistible Me Diamond hair styling tool. Since being very kindly sent this towards the end of August I've been in love with it, and it's made me really make so much of an effort with my hair. It's so easy to use, keeps hair looking sleek and heats up and cools down so quickly. I have genuinely loved using this, and I can't even think how I'd make my hair look presentable and polished without it. There's a full review which you can read here and my hair routine here.

I've been reaching for quite minimal lip products recently. Somehow being busy makes me reach for products that are easy to reapply during the day without the need for a mirror and that allow you to not have to think about whether your lipstick has migrated to your teeth. My two favourites are the Lancome Juicy Shaker in Vanilla Pop and the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector in 06. The Lancome offering adds a beautiful touch of colour to my lips, whilst feeling light and adding a gorgeous shine to my lips. I love the Clarins offering if I'm after nothing a little more nude. It's a perfect nude gloss for me, making my lips look full and 'juicy' whilst feeling quite nourishing and being easy to wear.

Finally, a product I've come back to. Over the past year or so I've been branching out and trying several different serums, but nothing compares to my favourite. The
Superdrug Vitamin E Moisture Boost Facial Serum is beautiful in consistency, adding the perfect amount of added moisture to my skin, without making my t-zone greasy and whilst making my more normal/dry skin feel hydrated throught the day. It's the perfect serum under moisturiser, and it's so affordable.

Whilst I haven't had too many products I've been loving this month, I've throughly enjoyed catching up with friends and making loads of memories. Being my final undergrad year I want to really take time to enjoy it and have lots of memories to look back on too.
