Healthy(ish) Sweet Treats

I have a seriously sweet tooth, I just love sweet foods. And so trying to get the balance of healthy eating and still having sweet treats hasn't been easy. I thought I'd share a few ideas and tips that I've been using recently to stay healthy but still get my sweetness fix. What's more they all involve fruit, so you're getting your five a day too!

March Favourites

I don't often do a monthly favourites post simply because I never feel like I have enough new things to talk about. March has been a month of new discoveries so I thought I'd share a few of my favourite things from March.

Mars Bar Easter Nests

Sometimes you need a last minute Easter treat; something that doesn't take very long to make, looks cute, tastes delicious and gives a chocolatey fix. These little mars bar Easters nests are perfect for just that. As mars bars are used instead of just plain chocolate, the nests are lovely and chewy as well as having a delicious chocolate flavour. What's more theses can be made any time of year, a tray 'bake' works well too and is a family favourite at my house.

Strawberry and Vanilla Cupcakes

Cupcakes are great; they look cute, minimal skill needed to bake them, and you get to eat a whole cake. These strawberry and vanilla cupcakes not only look cute, but they're so tasty too.

Max Factor 3-in-1 Foundation First Impression

Normally I'm quite picky about foundations; I find it really tricky to find a shade that matches my skin tone, I like quite a medium coverage without feeling to heavy and not to mention the struggle of having an oily t-zone! A while back I thought I'd give the Max Factor 3-in-1 foundation a go. I hadn't really heard too much about this foundation, but the shade match was perfect and the bottle said all day flawless which pretty much sealed the deal. Because of how picky I am, first impressions are key to me, and spoiler I love this foundation!

Manicure Picks

Giving myself a little manicure is a weekly essential. I love taking the time to catch up on YouTube or TV, and paint my nails. I always feel so much more put together with my nails painted, and I think it can really finish a look and add a level of sophistication. I've put together some of my manicure favourites that I reach for regularly when doing my nails.

Makeup Bag Peek + Highend Beauty Wishlist

I know I talk about beauty a lot, however I thought I'd talk about some products that I love, but haven't shared the same love on my blog, as well as some high end items that have been gracing my wishlist for a while.

3 Tips For When Things Go Wrong

Sometimes life doesn't go exactly how you planned, even if it's just one day it can feel like the end of the world. I know that 9 times out of 10 I just want to get on with whatever I've gotta do that day without something that's out of my control going wrong. Over the years I've developed a few hints and tips to remind myself of for when it all goes wrong, so I thought I'd share them with you.

Minimal Makeup

This was going to be a 5 product face look, but I just couldn't it. Missing out products just didn't feel right, nor did it look right. So here is my minimal makeup look, perfect for when I'm in a rush, don't feel like wearing much makeup and for those days where I need to look together but only have 15 minutes to leave the house.

Fiorelli Mia Grab Handbag

A couple of weeks ago it was was #RandomActsOfKindness day over on Twitter, and super generously Fiorelli selected me to receive a handbag of my choice completely free of charge. Of course I was delighted, handbags are my thing and the Fiorelli offerings are simply beautiful. I opted for the Mia Grab bag in tan, and I'm in love.
